NumisMedia Weekly Market Report
D. Brent Pogue Collection Part V
March 20, 2017
Stack's Bowers Galleries will be hosting the official auction at the upcoming Whitman Baltimore Expo which takes place March 30 thru April 1. They will also be presenting, along with Sotheby's, the fifth installment and the conclusion of the D. Brent Pogue Collection Sale which will quite likely produce record prices for some tremendous rarities. The Pogue Collection Sale Part V will be conducted on March 31 at the famous Evergreen Museum and Library.
The past four Pogue Sales have been loaded with many great rarities; Part V may be the best of them all. Included is the 1804 Dollar, known as the Dexter specimen; it is a Class I and certified by PCGS as PR65 with just two finer. There are a number of rare Half and Large Cents for the Early Copper collector. The 1799 Large Cent is the finest known and is certified by PCGS as MS61 Brown. Listed below are just a few of the many highlights of this important sale; contact Stack's Bowers Galleries for a catalogue.

The majority of adjustments in this week's Moderns Wholesale Dealer Price Guide can be found in the bullion charts. Even though prices are down since the last printing, they are higher over the last few days as Gold, Silver, and Platinum have rebounded and look stronger in morning trading.
