Long Beach Proves Solid Market

The Long Beach Expo was much better than most dealers expected. The bourse room was full and the public turned out in large numbers. Dealer to dealer trading was active but not as good as some shows at this venue; probably because ANA was just a few weeks ago. The higher metals could have attracted some of the public but many dealers felt that buyers were already prepared to spend money. Actually, a few dealers thought the upward movement in metals hindered sales as buyers became hesitant with the higher costs.

Many true rarities have increased in value as a result of the recent ANA auctions. With some of these rarities infrequently trading, prices have advanced dramatically. In this week's LD Wholesale Market Dealer Price Guide there are numerous coins that bear this out.
