        While you peruse this inaugural issue of the NumisMedia Price Guide, keep in mind that our objective is to provide you, the reader, the most accurate pricing information available on the market today. By searching every nook and cranny, we gather each piece of data that is needed in order to accurately gauge the overall coin market in a manner that is fair to both the coin dealer and the coin collector. The first detail you will notice is that we intend to report prices from VF through MS67. Pricing information on lower and higher grades, Good through MS70, are listed within the NumisMedia Web Site, where we constantly monitor and update prices as the information becomes available. You will also find other series online that are not listed in the Price Guide. As you well know, once prices are in print, many of them become outdated as soon as the next transaction is completed.

        What we offer you is a guide for buying and selling coins. Our primary mission is to report prices for accurately graded coins as a means for the buyer and seller to transact business for the betterment of numismatics. As you can see, we don't round off numbers to make it appear the market is so precise that you can identify an exact price, although the coin market has always worked around a specific number. With the help of the NumisMedia Price Guide you should be able to price a coin you locate, that you feel is accurately graded, within 10% of FMV (over or under). As you can see, there are already over 40 pages of prices for your convenience and this may be expanded to include other areas of the market as needs arise.

We want to provide you with accurate information from actual coins for sale and strive to fill every column with prices, although some of the higher grades will be impossible to fill due to the rarity of these issues. Our prices are not guesswork. They are derived from real coins for sale and are provided as a starting point. Every numismatist views coins differently. This is what makes numismatics so interesting to so many collectors. They may put a tag on the slab that tells everyone the grade, but they can't tell the beholder the beauty that lies within.
